Volleyball Recap: Cicero Prep Academy's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Cicero Prep Academy waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Duncan Wildkats. The Centurions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildkats, too.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-7, 25-11.

Cicero Prep Academy found their leader in freshman Grace Combs, who had 12 assists and five digs. Evelyn Thomas also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Cicero Prep Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 13 consecutive contests.

Cicero Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Duncan, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 4-9.

Cicero Prep Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Campo Verde on the 26th. As for Duncan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Ray on the 30th.
