Softball Game Preview: Sequoia Ravens vs. Branham Bruins

The Sequoia Ravens will face off against the Branham Bruins at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sequoia will be strutting in after a win while Branham will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Sequoia earned an 8-4 victory over San Lorenzo Valley.

Odom Lulu spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Grace Taylor, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Branham's offense. They fell just short of Los Gatos by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Bruins' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Olivia Hilldoerfer was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

Branham's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Sequoia, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Sequoia skirted past Branham 5-4 in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Do the Ravens have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bruins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
