Softball Game Preview: Van Nuys Wolves vs. Canoga Park Hunters

The Van Nuys Wolves will take on the Canoga Park Hunters at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Van Nuys has given up an average of 12.4 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Van Nuys is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against North Hollywood on Friday. They lost 11-1 to the Huskies. The Wolves have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Van Nuys saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was KIMBERLY NUNEZ, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Canoga Park played against Faith Baptist on Monday and lost via forfeit.

Canoga Park now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Van Nuys, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Everything went Van Nuys' way against Canoga Park when the teams last played back in March, as Van Nuys made off with a 17-2 win. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Hunters have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
