Volleyball Recap: San Jose Takes a Loss

After flying high against James Lick last Thursday, San Jose came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Live Oak Acorns on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Acorns recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

While San Jose was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19, 25-13.

San Jose's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Live Oak, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

San Jose wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Gilroy on the 3rd. As for Live Oak, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Mt. Pleasant on the 3rd.
