Recap: University Trailblazers vs. Heritage Christian Eagles
The University Trailblazers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Heritage Christian. University was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Heritage Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Several Trailblazers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mackenzie Feeney, who scored two points along with 14 rebounds and five assists. Feeney is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlotte Conyers, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
University's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Heritage Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University will take on Tri-West Hendricks at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Tri-West Hendricks focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Thursday. As for Heritage Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Hamilton Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hamilton Heights will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
