Baseball Recap: 19 Straight Home Wins for Calallen

Calallen put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Flour Bluff Hornets get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

Chase Lynch made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Blake Quinn was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Duke, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Calallen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Flour Bluff only posted an OBP of .211.

Calallen pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Flour Bluff, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Calallen wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-1 win against Almeta Crawford on the 28th. As for Flour Bluff, they will face off against Vela at 12:04 p.m. on Saturday.
