Cedaredge and Meeker are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Cedaredge Bruins will face off against the Meeker Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Cedaredge ended up a good deal behind Grand Valley and lost 63-47.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Josh Scott, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards. Rylan Brooks was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Meanwhile, Meeker lost to Roaring Fork at home by a 61-46 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Rams are ranked 118th).

Cedaredge's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Meeker, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Cedaredge skirted past Meeker 40-38 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cedaredge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
