Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canyon Hills). They were the clear victor by a 67-42 margin over the Kearny Komets on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rattlers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, Kearny saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cameron Ackerman went 8 for 16 on his way to 18 points and five boards. Julian Valladarez was another key player, putting up six points.

Canyon Hills' win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Kearny, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7.

Canyon Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 43-39 loss against La Jolla on the 31st. Kearny has also already played their next game, a 61-56 victory against High Tech SD on the 31st.
