Basketball Recap: Grace Academy Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Metrolina Christian Academy, Grace Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took down the North Hills Christian Eagles 77-63. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2016.

Carson Payne was his usual excellent self, putting up 36 points. Another player making a difference was Evan Buslovich, who posted 19 points and seven rebounds.

Grace Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Hills Christian only racked up eight assists.

When it comes to explaining why North Hills Christian lost, don't look at Maverick Ball. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 39 points and 13 boards. The matchup was Ball's 11th in a row with at least ten points.

Grace Academy pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.3 points per game. As for North Hills Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Academy will host Charlotte Lab School at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Grace Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 72.4 points per game this season. As for North Hills Christian, they will welcome Statesville Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
