Recap: South Pontotoc Cougars vs. Greenwood Bulldogs
The South Pontotoc Cougars and the Greenwood Bulldogs squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the South Pontotoc Cougars had to settle for second. They fell 57-47 to the Bulldogs.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braydon Gazaway, who scored nine points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nash Guerin, who scored 12 points.
South Pontotoc's loss dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Greenwood, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-5.
South Pontotoc does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greenwood, they will take on West Lauderdale at TBD on Saturday. West Lauderdale is coming into the contest with three straight wins on the road, so Greenwood is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
