Basketball Game Preview: DC International Dragons vs. St. Anselm's Abbey Panthers

Two dominant guards in Gavin Moore and Max Leeman are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The DC International Dragons will host the St. Anselm's Abbey Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

DC International is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: KIPP DC Legacy College Prep, who was ranked 13th at the time (DC International was ranked 25th). DC International took a 67-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of KIPP DC Legacy College Prep. The Dragons have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, St. Anselm's Abbey and Berman Hebrew Academy squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but St. Anselm's Abbey had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 64-46 to the Cougars.

DC International will need to focus on slowing down Mario Camara Paslar, one of several St. Anselm's Abbey players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 13 points. Joe Watkins was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 10 points.

DC International's loss dropped their record down to 17-15. As for St. Anselm's Abbey, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.
