Softball Recap: Caledonia Warriors vs. Cotter Ramblers

Caledonia won against Chatfield on Tuesday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Warriors walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Cotter Ramblers. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Avery Augedahl was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Brairy Proulx was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Raiya Goetzinger also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Caledonia's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Cotter, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Caledonia will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Ramblers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
