Basketball Recap: Del Valle Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Jamya Tisdale and Michiya Marshall

Del Valle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 48-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Travis Cavaliers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-25 back in December of 2024.

Michiya Marshall and Jamya Tisdale certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Marshall went 6 of 12 en route to 15 points and five steals, while Tisdale posted eight points and 14 rebounds. Tisdale has been hot, having posted nine or more boards the last seven times she's played.

Del Valle's loss dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Lake Travis, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Dripping Springs the next time they take the court. Lake Travis will host Dripping Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Del Valle will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
