Volleyball Recap: Fox Creek Comes Up Short

Fox Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakeside Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Predators of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-21.

Bella Cutright paced Fox Creek's offense, picking up three kills. Cutright got some help from Addison Coleman and her four assists. Cutright was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Fox Creek now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Lakeside, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Fox Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Keenan on the 16th. As for Lakeside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Aquinas on the 15th.
