Soccer Recap: Waltrip Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Spring Woods

Waltrip lost to Spring Woods back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Waltrip Rams walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Spring Woods Tigers. The win was all the more spectacular given the Rams' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 720th, while the Tigers are ranked 331st).

Waltrip's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Spring Woods, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Waltrip will welcome Westbury at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westbury is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season. As for Spring Woods, they are taking a road trip to square off against Sharpstown at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
