Lowell entered their tilt with Sparta on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Spartans an 8-0 shutout. Lowell might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by four goals or more this season.

Lowell's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2-1. As for Sparta, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-14-1.
