Softball Recap: Yulee Victorious

Yulee barely beat Beachside the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hornets blew past the Barracudas 13-3 on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hornets needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Kierstin Northern, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Sawyer, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Yulee kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in February of 2025.

Yulee's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Beachside, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yulee will host St. Joseph Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Beachside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nease at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
