Baseball Recap: Hermon Takes a Loss

Hermon and Ellsworth squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Hermon had to settle for second. They fell 8-5 to the Eagles. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 8-2.

Tommy Meserve made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs. Mason Kinney also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Hermon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8-1. As for Ellsworth, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Hermon nor Ellsworth have any future games scheduled.
