The Mill Valley Jaguars will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Olathe West Owls at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Mill Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.

Mill Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 62-61 photo finish over Shawnee Mission East. The victory continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won four in a row.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Olathe West and Olathe Northwest meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. Olathe West had just enough and edged out Olathe Northwest 43-40. The 43-point effort marked the Owls' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The win snapped Olathe West's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 12-9 record. As for Mill Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 16-4.

Mill Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Olathe West in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 78-72 win. Will Mill Valley repeat their success, or does Olathe West have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
