Shelby strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the East Rutherford Cavaliers get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Given Shelby's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 67th, while East Rutherford are ranked 312th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alyvia Berkowitz and Ramsey Brooks scored both of Shelby's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

Shelby's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-0. As for East Rutherford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shelby will take on Highland Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shelby will need to watch out since Highland Tech have now posted at least four goals in their last three matches. As for East Rutherford, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on East Henderson at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
