Baseball Recap: Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Comes Up Short

After flying high against Friendly on Wednesday, Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North came back down to earth. The Tigers fell 25-22 to the Oxon Hill Clippers on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (11), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Calvin Brown Jr stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he got on base in five of his six plate appearances with four runs and one triple. He has become a key player for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Brown, who got on base in all six of his plate appearances with four runs and one double.

Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Oxon Hill, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
