Scituate and St. Mary Academy-Bay View are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2018, but likely not for long. The Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bengals at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Scituate will be strutting in after a win while St. Mary Academy-Bay View will be coming in after a defeat.

Scituate is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over West Warwick on Friday. Scituate have beaten West Warwick the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest West Warwick has come to flipping the script.

Scituate's offense was hitting West Warwick from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Katelyn Chatelle led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, St. Mary Academy-Bay View faced Westerly in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Bengals came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 7-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, St. Mary Academy-Bay View haven't been shut out since back in September.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Mary Academy-Bay View and nudges their season record down to 7-7-1. As for Scituate, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6-5.

Scituate took their win against St. Mary Academy-Bay View in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 5-2 score. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Bengals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
