Baseball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cranston East Thunderbolts. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Knights have suffered since April 10th.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Cranston East, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will welcome Toll Gate at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.77 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cranston East, they will host Mt. Hope at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
