Basketball Game Preview: Grady Bronchos vs. Melrose Buffaloes

Grady hasn't had much luck against Melrose recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Grady Bronchos will take on the Melrose Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Grady took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They blew past San Jon 68-2. The Bronchos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 22 points or more this season.

Grady found their leader in sophomore Trey Rush, who posted 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rush has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caden Croy, who had nine points.

Melrose has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 69-68 heartbreaker at the hands of Roswell.

Grady now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Melrose, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.

Grady was taken down by Melrose 72-35 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Grady avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
