Volleyball Game Preview: Douglas County Huskies vs. Chaparral Wolverines

The Douglas County Huskies will challenge the Chaparral Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Douglas County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Douglas County is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: D'Evelyn, who was ranked 14th at the time (Douglas County was ranked fifth). The Huskies came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Chaparral not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 1st (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Highlands Ranch.

Chaparral never let Highlands Ranch on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 25-16.

Douglas County's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Chaparral, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.

Douglas County was able to grind out a solid victory over Chaparral when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
