Baseball Game Preview: Southwestern Heights Mustangs vs. Satanta Indians

The Southwestern Heights Mustangs are taking a road trip to square off against the Satanta Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Southwestern Heights and 14 for Satanta.

Last Thursday, Southwestern Heights didn't have quite enough to beat Spearville and fell 5-4.

Julius Trejo was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Trejo was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Satanta fell victim to Kinsley and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Coyotes, falling 17-0.

Southwestern Heights' loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Satanta, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.

Southwestern Heights took their victory against Satanta when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
