Basketball Game Preview: Centennial Spartans vs. Mansfield Summit Jaguars

The Centennial Spartans will square off against the Mansfield Summit Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Centennial lost to Cleburne on the road by a 57-38 margin. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Mansfield Summit had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.2 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 70-25 win over the Cougars. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 22 points or more this season.

Mansfield Summit is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 13-16.
