Softball Recap: William Floyd Colonials vs. Brentwood Indians

William Floyd extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 1-9 in the process. They came up short against the Brentwood Indians, falling 20-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-5 last Tuesday.

As for Brentwood, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 16.5 runs this season.

For Brentwood's part, Janiyah Torres made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Torres was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
