Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Inter-City Baptist's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Inter-City Baptist proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 52) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Edsel Ford Thunderbirds 51-49. The Chargers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Thunderbirds, too.

Inter-City Baptist is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.9 points per game. As for Edsel Ford, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-7.

Inter-City Baptist wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-33 defeat against Lutheran Northwest on the 31st. As for Edsel Ford, they will square off against Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
