Basketball Recap: Elkins Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Elkins can now relate to. They received a blow on Thursday as they fell 53-34 to the East Fairmont Bees. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Bees: they've now lost nine in a row.

East Fairmont's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kasey Rogers, who made all 7 shots she took racking up 15 points and three steals. Emma Moore was another key player, as she made all 5 shots she took for 12 points and four steals.

Elkins' loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for East Fairmont, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-4.

Elkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Fairmont, they will challenge Grafton at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday. East Fairmont is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.7 points per game this season.
