The Niwot Cougars gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They skirted past Centaurus 2-1. Niwot's winning goal came courtesy of Hannah Wurth.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Niwot will take on Palmer Ridge at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Centaurus, they will head out on the road to challenge Denver North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
