Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Coalinga). They blew past the Tranquillity Tigers, posting an 80-17 victory. The Horned Toads have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Coalinga found their leader in sophomore Alikah Rafiu, who went 8-for-13 to rack up 17 points and three steals. What's more, Rafiu also posted a 62% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kylie Carpenter, who went 7-for-8 on her way to 16 points.

Coalinga's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.3 points over those games. As for Tranquillity, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 16 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-22 record this season.

Coalinga has already played their next matchup, a 54-27 victory against Dos Palos on the 11th. As for Tranquillity, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-20 defeat against Avenal on the 11th.
