Basketball Recap: Warrensburg Takes a Loss

Warrensburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 69-55 bruising from the Hadley Luzerne Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-26 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Warrensburg still got an impressive performance from Owen Jones, who posted 32 points. That was a full 58.2% of Warrensburg's points, marking the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Silas Tucker was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Warrensburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Hadley Luzerne, their win bumped their record up to 3-12.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Argyle the next time they take the court. Hadley Luzerne will host Argyle at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Warrensburg will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
