Football Recap: Ocean City Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Ocean City and Mainland Regional had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Raiders took a 20-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Mustangs are ranked 18th).

Ocean City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Mainland Regional, they pushed their record up to 3-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocean City will host Middle Township at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mainland Regional, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Egg Harbor Township at 6:00 p.m.
