Volleyball Recap: Pine Lake Prep Falls Short Against Ranked Lake Norman Charter

Pine Lake Prep faced Lake Norman Charter in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Pride fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2. The Pride haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Pine Lake Prep took Lake Norman Charter into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 16-25, 20-25, 25-11, 16-14.

Despite the loss, Pine Lake Prep still got an impressive performance from Kate Craver, who had 12 digs and four assists.

Pine Lake Prep's loss dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Lake Norman Charter, they pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.
