Ray/Powers Lake won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood 27-26. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.

Ray/Powers Lake's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 27 points in the first half. Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 27-6 going into the half. Ray/Powers Lake almost let the match get away from them in the second half, but they had just enough oomph to take it.
