Soccer Game Preview: Mount Dora vs. Bishop Moore

Mount Dora is 0-3 against Bishop Moore since February of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Hurricanes will head out on the road to square off against the Hornets at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Mount Dora is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Jones a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Mount Dora, who have now won eight contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Moore). They put the hurt on Tavares with a sharp 10-0 win on Thursday. Kennedy Boudreau was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Mount Dora is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six matches. As for Bishop Moore, their win bumped their record up to 4-6-5.

Mount Dora might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Bishop Moore in their previous meeting back in January of 2025. Can the Hurricanes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
