Hoggard is 9-1 against West Brunswick since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Hoggard Vikings will host the West Brunswick Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Hoggard's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so West Brunswick's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
While Hoggard's victory against North Brunswick wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Hoggard came out on top in a nail-biter against North Brunswick on Friday, sneaking past 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since March 12, 2024.

Macey Ciamillo was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sophie Gee, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Those stolen bases were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Demetriou, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between West Brunswick and Ashley, and Ashley kept the tradition alive. West Brunswick fell just short of Ashley by a score of 2-1 on Friday.
Olivia Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Kady Long was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.
Hoggard now has a winning record of 3-2. As for West Brunswick, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
