Softball Recap: Sandy Valley Comes Up Short

Sandy Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-2 to the Indian Springs Thunderbirds. The Sidewinders were not able to make up for their loss to the Thunderbirds from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Sandy Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cypriss Turner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another was Lillie Robinett, who scored a run and stole two bases.

Sandy Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Indian Springs, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Thunderbirds beat Sandy Valley by a score of 18-3 later that day.
