Chamberlain Burgess leads a balanced attack to beat Pleasant Grove

Recap: Lone Peak Knights vs. Pleasant Grove Vikings

On Friday, the Lone Peak Knights faced the Pleasant Grove Vikings in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Lone Peak came out on top against Pleasant Grove by a score of 60-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lone Peak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lone Peak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chamberlain Burgess, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Burgess has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ike Staley, who scored 16 points.

Lone Peak now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Pleasant Grove, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-4.

Lone Peak will be playing in front of their home fans against Skyridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyridge is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Pleasant Grove, they will head out on the road to square off against American Fork at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. American Fork has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 196 points over their last three matchups.
