Preview: Savannah Country Day Hornets vs. Cedar Grove Saints
The Savannah Country Day Hornets will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Cedar Grove Saints at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Savannah Country Day earned a 46-35 win over Long County. Given Savannah Country Day's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Long County is ranked 429th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Cedar Grove didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Stone Mountain on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 40-34 win. The victory was just what Cedar Grove needed coming off of a 84-20 loss in their prior contest.
Savannah Country Day has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Cedar Grove, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
