Volleyball Recap: Park City Miners vs. Jordan Beetdiggers
After flying high against Tooele last Tuesday, Park City came back down to earth. The Miners fell 3-1 to the Jordan Beetdiggers on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Beetdiggers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.
While Park City had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 24-26, 25-23.
Park City now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Jordan, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Park City will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hillcrest at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Jordan, they will take on Tooele at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Beetdiggers are facing the Buffaloes at the right time seeing as the Buffaloes are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
