Basketball Recap: Lenoir City Comes Up Short

Lenoir City was the 38-29 winner over Loudon when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lenoir City Panthers fell to the Loudon Redskins 46-42. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zaylan Giles was the offensive standout of the game as she went 8 of 14 en route to 19 points and five rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in November of 2024. ZZ Twilley was another key player, putting up six points and five assists.

Lenoir City's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Loudon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

When Lenoir City and Loudon next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Lenoir City will try to stop South-Doyle's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Loudon will square off against Heritage and their four-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
