Basketball Recap: Hixson Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hixson lost against Berean Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Berean Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Wigginton, who shot 62% from the field on his way to 24 points and eight rebounds. The game was Wigginton's 15th in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mayer Weatherly, who went 6-for-10 en route to 16 points.

Hixson now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Berean Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hixson won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chattanooga Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Berean Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on St. Andrews-Sewanee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
