Volleyball Recap: Excelsior Springs Tigers vs. Central Indians
Excelsior Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Central Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.
Excelsior Springs took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 24-26, 22-25, 25-22, 15-11.
Despite the loss, Excelsior Springs still got an impressive performance from Kendalyn Jones, who had 18 digs and five aces.

Excelsior Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Central, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6.
Excelsior Springs has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Harrisonville on the 10th. As for Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Benton on the 15th.
