Volleyball Recap: East Bladen Takes a Loss + How To Watch

East Bladen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Clinton Dark Horses. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

While East Bladen was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Clinton's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-12, 25-16.

Clinton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jenna Jackson, who had 18 assists and six aces. Those 18 assists gave Jackson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Pheonix Everett, who had eight digs, seven kills, and three aces.

East Bladen's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Clinton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, East Bladen will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on West Bladen at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clinton, they will head out on the road to challenge Eastern Wayne at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
