Basketball Recap: Central Falls Extends Winning Streak to Three

Central Falls entered their tilt with Paul Cuffee on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 65-61 W against Paul Cuffee. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Central Falls' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hamilton Mendonca, who went 7 of 10 to rack up 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Those 15 points gave Mendonca a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jamilson De Pina Almeida, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 16 boards.

Central Falls smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive matches.

Central Falls' win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Paul Cuffee, they dropped their record down to 5-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
