Basketball Recap: Colonial Christian Comes Up Short

Colonial Christian extended their losing streak to seven on Monday, dropping them down to 1-9. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost an 80-76 heartbreaker at the hands of the Redland Christian Academy FALCONS. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the FALCONS earlier this season, when they won 77-56.

As for Redland Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Redland Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Prince Howell, Jr, who posted 49 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Howell, Jr has scored all season. Isaac Caceres was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Colonial Christian has already played their next game (against Pneuma Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Redland Christian Academy, they will face off against Greater Miami Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The FALCONS will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 72.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
