Basketball Recap: Gig Harbor Takes a Loss

If Gig Harbor was riding high fresh off their 65-42 takedown of Federal Way last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gig Harbor Tides were just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 35-34 to the Auburn Mountainview Lions. The Tides were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in February of 2023.

Gig Harbor has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season. As for Auburn Mountainview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Gig Harbor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Auburn Mountainview, they will host Evergreen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
