Basketball Game Preview: Harrisonville Wildcats vs. Richmond Spartans

The Harrisonville Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Richmond Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Harrisonville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.

On Friday, Harrisonville needed a bit of extra time to put away Oak Grove. They snuck past the Panthers with a 68-62 victory. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Panthers are ranked 329th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Richmond entered their tilt with Holden on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 74-44 win over the Eagles. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 21 points or more this season.

Harrisonville pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.4 points over those games. As for Richmond, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.
